About our clientOur client is one of Germany’s leading multi-brand groups in fashion, lifestyle, and retail. With a diversified portfolio of own brands, private-label businesses, and international sourcing operations, the group combines decades of industry experience with a strong entrepreneurial heritage.As part of a strategic transformation program, the holding is repositioning its retail and private-label entities to secure sustainable growth and competitiveness in an evolving market environment. The CEO will take active leadership of the group’s retail subsidiaries – one a major supplier to leading European retailers and discounters, the other specialized in sports and lifestyle apparel – while also contributing to the broader portfolio development within the holding structure. The role is well connected to Bremen and based around Osnabrueck, Germany. What the job involvesDriving the further development of the group strategy with emphasis on brand positioning, digital transformation, and sustainable profitabilityLeadership and integration of the management teams of the subsidiariesActive CEO role for one or more subsidiaries based in the greater Oldenburg areaSteering of the turnaround and transformation program (retail brands)Responsibility for ESG and compliance (LkSG/CSRD) as well as for maintaining a trust-based collaboration with the advisory board and employee representativesFurther development of governance, culture, and sustainability in line with the values of the family-owned businessWho we are looking forProven track record of overall leadership responsibility (CEO / Business Unit Head / Executive Board) in the consumer goods, fashion, or lifestyle sectorExperience with multi-brand portfolios, turnaround, and repositioning projectsCombination of strategic thinker and hands-on leader with strong results orientationExperience in socially responsible transformation and in reputation and stakeholder communication within a family-owned businessStrong interpersonal skills, integrity, and cultural sensitivity suited to a long-term–oriented family enterpriseFluent in German and English
