With decades of cross-border experience, they are recognized as an industry pace-setter.Location: RomaniaEmployment Type: Full-time | Reports to: Board of Directors About the RoleThis mandate is ideal for a purpose-driven, commercially leader who can scale operations, elevate customer impact, and strengthen the organization’s market position. You will own the end-to-end P&L and set a strategic agenda anchored in growth, efficiency, and sustainability.Key ResponsabilityDefine and execute a value-creation plan focused on profitable growth, operational excellence, and innovation.Lead P&L management: pricing, cost discipline, capital allocation, and margin expansion.Scale recycling and upcycling capabilities; champion HSE, ESG, and regulatory compliance.Build a high-performance leadership bench; attract and develop critical talent.Deepen partnerships with customers, regulators, communities, and technology providers.Accelerate digitalization and automation to improve asset utilization and service quality.Represent the company externally; position the brand as a circular economy thought leader.Report to the Board with data-driven insights and clear performance dashboards.Ideal Profile10+ years in senior leadership, including GM/MD/CEO or divisional P&L ownership.Proven success in waste management, environmental services, industrial services, utilities, or adjacent sectors.Strong commercial and operational toolkit (lean/CI, safety culture, route/plant optimization).Stakeholder management across customers, regulators, and investors/owners.Resilient, values-led leadership; clear communicator with a bias to execution.Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent is a plus.Mobility to travel across regions as needed.What's on OfferThe platform to lead an industry leader shaping the circular economy.Competitive executive package (fixed, bonus).Strategic autonomy with a committed Board and shareholders.The opportunity to drive measurable environmental and business impact.How to applyPlease send your CV to v.gongu@trenkwalder.comwith the subject line “CEO – Waste Management (Confidential)” or apply via LinkedIn.
