Quality Engineering

Position DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Engineering candidate to join our agile team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, low-defect applications by collaborating closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing test strategies, enhancing automation frameworks, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage using a risk-based approach. Your future duties and responsibilitiesAnalysis & Strategy Develop automated test plans and strategies using a risk-based agile approach. Participate in sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.

Analyze business requirements and user stories to design effective test cases. Ensure test scripts are complete, accurate, and consistent. Analyze test results and recommend corrective actions. Maintain open communication with stakeholders to ensure application quality. Periodically review and optimize testing methodologies. Automated Testing Enhance and maintain the custom Java/Selenium automation framework (FAST). Create and maintain automated test scripts for regression and performance testing. Execute load, stress, and performance tests; document and analyze results. Participate in disaster recovery, high availability testing, and operational readiness exercises. Report and track defects using issue tracking tools.

Collaborate with developers and product owners to ensure responsive and user-friendly applications. Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on technical flows and testing scope. Mentor and guide junior team members. Provide recommendations and support to other teams as needed. Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This RoleEducation & Experience Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in IT or a related field. 5–7 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance. Technical Skills Strong Java programming skills; experience with Java/Selenium automation frameworks. Experience in both manual and automated testing of web and backend applications.

Familiarity with agile methodologies and continuous delivery environments. Experience testing REST APIs in cloud environments (e. g. , Azure). Basic knowledge of Linux and command-line operations. Familiarity with JavaScript testing frameworks (e. g. , Protractor, Jasmine) is an asset. Experience with: Azure Data Services, REST APIs, sFTP, Apache Tomcat, LDAP, XML/JSONJira, Confluence, Git, QTest, Cucumber, JenkinsOracle, Azure Data Lake, and other relational/NoSQL databases Experience implementing test code in CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker is an asset. Soft Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.

High attention to detail and technical proficiency. Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable. Ability to prioritize tasks in high-pressure environments. Collaborative team player with mentoring capabilities. Open to feedback and continuous learning.
