Role OverviewWe are looking for a proactive, results-driven, and visionary Head of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships to lead our growth efforts across Africa and international markets.
This is a strategic leadership role for a self-motivated and highly competent professional who can close high-value deals, build scalable partnerships, and lead a team of regional business developers. Key Responsibilities路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Develop and execute a robust business development strategy aligned with company growth goals. 路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Lead expansion efforts across new markets and secure enterprise-level clients and partnerships. 路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Build and maintain strong relationships with government, private sector, and development partners. 路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Drive full sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, presenting, nurturing, closing, and managing accounts. 路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Recruit, manage, and mentor a high-performing team of regional business developers.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Represent Charis UAS at international conferences and industry events. 路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Leverage CRM to manage leads, pipeline, and performance tracking. 路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Collaborate internally to ensure seamless client onboarding and delivery. Essential Skills & Experience (Must Be Demonstrated)路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Relationship building and stakeholder networking at executive level. 路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Ability to manage the full B2B sales cycle, from lead to close to long-term client management. 路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Strong communication skills both internally (team, leadership) and externally (clients, partners). 路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Experience using CRM platforms (e. g. , HubSpot, Salesforce) to manage pipeline and reporting. 路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Proven leadership managing regional teams and driving accountability.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Understanding of emerging tech trends and digital solutions. 路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Fluent in English and French. 路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Highly self-motivated, accountable, and independently driven. Preferred Background路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Experience or knowledge in civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects. 路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Experience selling SaaS platforms or B2B enterprise technology. 路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Understanding of drone data, GIS, or remote sensing applications. 路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Experience working with governments, development agencies, or major regional projects. Qualifications路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. 路聽聽聽聽聽聽- MBA or business certification is a strong added advantage.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽- 7+ years in B2B business development or strategic partnerships with proven track record. 路聽聽聽聽聽聽- Experience operating across multiple African markets; global experience is a plus.
