Title: Tanker Chartering Ship Broker (Suezmax/Aframax)Salary: Region of 100-125,000USD (equiv) + direct % payoutLocation: Copenhagen, DenmarkImperium Commodity Search is confidentially retained by a rapidly expanding trading and brokerage business, seeking to expand their tanker chartering capability in their new Danish office. With a true focus on internal progression, no external management hires and a clear route to build a team, this opportunity suits an experienced tanker charter ship broker who feels limited progression with their current shop/ship brokerage.As well as ship brokerage business, our client also trades in the same markets and has an excellent network and database of transactions in the space, accelerating the build of this frontier tanker charter desk in Copenhagen. If you are currently managing a book of chartering business in the tanker/wet space, and would be enticed by the opportunity to join a firm with a clear progression path and straightforward/rewarding payout system, we would love to hear from you.You will be:Working in a talented, growing team of charter brokers in the tanker space (Suezmax/Aframax), driving commercial relationships with shipowners, trading houses and supply chain operatorsActively driving business development and networking through phone, email and face to face meetingsAttending industry events/conferences to network and build out the brand recognition/publicityKeeping on top of market news/movements and macro events to guide commercial decisionsExecuting spot charters and deals between industry participants/shipowners in the tanker spaceWorking with senior management on cross-sell opportunity and growth of the deskDeveloping long standing relationships with clients, building out the European regional tanker chartering desk and growing out responsibility/seniority as the desk evolvesWe would love to speak to you if you have:3+ years’ experience in the tanker markets - Suezmax/Aframax, in a charter brokerage/ship brokerage roleAn excellent network of shipowners, counterparties and trading housesExcellent commercial acumen and driven in business developmentFluency in English (other languages beneficial but not required)An existing portfolio of customers/contacts in the tanker spaceThe ability to live/work in DenmarkTo arrange a confidential discussion around this opportunity, please contact Zuzana Zvolenská:Email: zuzana.zvolenska@imperiumcs.comTel: +44 (0)203 927 5090 (UK)
