They aim to lead the global effort in reducing suicide rates and eliminating disability caused by mental health conditions.About the Role:We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Chartered Accountants (CA) to join our growing US-based healthcare Client, specializing in behavioral and psychiatry services. This remote position will be based in Pakistan, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) located in the United States.The ideal candidate must possess an expert understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and prior experience or strong, demonstrated knowledge of the financial and operational aspects of the US healthcare or medical industry. This role will be critical in ensuring financial reporting accuracy, regulatory compliance, and providing actionable insights to the executive leadership team.Key Responsibilities: A. Financial Reporting & ComplianceUS GAAP Mastery: Ensure all financial statements, reporting packages, and internal documentation strictly adhere to US GAAP standards and principles.Month-End Close: Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.Audit Preparation: Coordinate with external auditors and manage the preparation of all required schedules, supporting documentation, and responses to audit inquiries.B. Healthcare Industry SpecificsRevenue Cycle: Assist in analyzing the accounts receivable (AR) and revenue recognition processes specific to the US healthcare industry, including understanding payer contracts, managed care, and bad debt reserves.Cost Analysis: Monitor and analyze direct and indirect costs related to healthcare service delivery (e.g., staffing costs, facility overhead) to identify efficiency improvements.Compliance: Maintain working knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements relevant to US behavioral health and medical organizations (e.g., HIPAA compliance related to data handling in financial processes).C. Analysis & SupportFP&A Support: Provide support for financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, under the direction of the CFO.Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to internal controls, accounting systems, and financial processes to enhance efficiency and data integrity in a remote working environment.Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct deep-dive financial analyses and prepare reports as required by the CFO and executive team to support strategic decision-making.Required QualificationsA. Technical & Educational RequirementsUS GAAP Expertise (Mandatory): Minimum of 3-5 years of experience applying US GAAP for reporting and compliance purposes. Experience with IFRS is a plus, but US GAAP is essential.Industry Experience (Mandatory/Strong Preference): Proven professional experience or specialized knowledge working with US Healthcare, Medical, or Behavioral Health companies is a significant requirement. Familiarity with CPT/ICD coding, RCM (Revenue Cycle Management), and payer dynamics is highly preferred.Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, complex modeling) and experience with major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) or specialized healthcare accounting software.B. Soft Skills & Work EnvironmentCommunication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly to a US-based executive audience.Remote Work Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain high productivity in a remote setting.
