RealNZ is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie - Pastry to join our exceptional team at Walter Peak. If you have a flair for pastry and a love for creating memorable guest experiences, this is your opportunity to shine in a unique and inspiring environment.As Chef de Partie - Pastry, you'll be a key player in our kitchen, contributing to the production and presentation of high-quality pastry dishes. You'll support the Senior Sous Chef - Pastry, lead the section when required, and help train and motivate junior staff. Your creativity and precision will help elevate our culinary offerings and delight our guests.In this role, you'll prepare, present, and serve high-quality pastry dishes in line with designated menus, ensuring consistency and excellence in every detail. You'll maintain a clean and efficient pastry section, uphold food safety and hygiene standards, and ensure all mise-en-place is fresh and ready on time. You'll also support stock control, collaborate with the wider kitchen team, and contribute to seasonal menu development. When required, you'll step up to lead the pastry section and provide guidance and training to junior chefs and trainees.What You'll BringA relevant cooking qualificationAt least three years of experience in a commercial kitchen, including one year at Chef de Partie level.Your background will include café and pastry productionHold a strong knowledge of Food Control Plans, and a variety of food styles.Excellent communication, training, and time management skillsA collaborative and proactive approach.What's in it for you?Enjoy some incredible staff perks!
