Job Description

Purpose Statement:The Chemist will perform analytical testing and support laboratory activities to ensure product quality and compliance with regulatory standards. The role requires hands-on experience with analytical instruments and solid knowledge of chromatographic techniques and pharmacopeial methods.Key Responsibilities:Perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using HPLC, UV, IR, and other laboratory equipment.Conduct method validation, verification, and transfer following applicable guidelines.Operate and maintain analytical systems (e.g., Empower Chromatography Data System).Prepare and review analytical reports, laboratory documentation, and results summaries.Ensure compliance with USP, EP, and other regulatory standards.Support investigations, OOS/OOT results, and CAPA implementation.Maintain laboratory instruments in qualified condition and ensure calibration and maintenance schedules are followed.Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and laboratory safety standards at all times.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry (BS required).Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or chemical laboratory.License: Chemist License (highly preferred).Technical Skills:Proficiency with analytical instruments such as HPLC, UV, IR.Experience with Empower Chromatography System.Knowledge of USP, EP, and ICH guidelines.Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, documentation accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
