Job ResponsibilitiesWe are currently looking for an Executive Housekeeper to join the Cheval Blanc Seychelles. Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, the position will oversee entire Housekeeping scope, including Laundry. Key responsibilities includes, implementing Housekeeping standards, policies, and procedures to ensure a consistent and high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction throughout the Maison. Participate in the pre-opening activities, including hiring, training, and onboarding Housekeeping team, as well as setting up the Housekeeping department's infrastructure and systems.
ProfileA minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent; however, a Degree or Diploma in hotel management, hospitality, or a related field is preferred. At least 5 years of experience in Housekeeping management, preferably within the hospitality industry, with a proven track record of maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing, training, and developing a diverse team of housekeeping team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, guests, and other departments within the Maison.
Knowledge of Housekeeping best practices, procedures, and standards, as well as familiarity with cleaning products, equipment, and techniques. Understanding of basic budgeting, inventory management, and cost control principles to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations within the housekeeping department. Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards applicable to the hospitality industry and environmental guidelines. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, delegate responsibilities, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent level of both written and spoken English; proficiency in other languages would be an added advantage.
Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, as well as Opera and Housekeeping-related software for scheduling, inventory management, and reporting. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction throughout the Maison. Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and demands. A strong work ethic, with the ability to lead by example and instill a sense of pride and ownership among the Housekeeping team.
