Job Description

The Training Specialist - BOH Manager Trainer is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing BOH training programs for kitchen staff to ensure operational excellence, food quality, safety, and teamwork. This position ensures compliance with operational standards and promotes a culture of learning and development across Chicken N Picklet teams. The Training Specialist - BOH Manager Trainer must embody Chicken N Pickle's core values of Authenticity, Community, Connection, Integrity, and Quality while supporting a diversity, equity, and inclusion culture. Key Responsibilities: Key Competencies:

Training Development and ImplementationDesign, develop, deliver, and maintain comprehensive Center of Training Excellence (COTE) BOH Manager training materials, including manuals, videos, and online modulesDeliver in-person and virtual training sessions for BOH Assistant Kitchen Managers in Training (AK-MITs) at the COTEConduct onboarding programs for new staff to familiarize them with company Chicken N Pickle standards, policies, and proceduresPerform routine training team member evaluation visits in all locationsSkill and Performance EnhancementTrain AK-MITs in BOH responsibilities such as food preparation, cooking techniques, plating standards, and equipment usageIdentify skill gaps through performance assessments and recommend appropriate training interventionsMentor and coach BOH Managers after leaving training to enhance individual and team performanceMaintain comprehensive records of training activities, attendance, and outcomesPrepare reports and presentations on training initiatives and their impact on performanceOperational ComplianceEnsure all training programs comply with health, safety, and food handling regulationsMonitor adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and provide corrective training as neededTraining Metrics and EvaluationAssess the effectiveness of training programs using feedback, performance metrics, and post-training evaluationsReport on training outcomes and suggest improvements for future initiativesCollaboration and CoordinationCollaborate with the Corporate Training Manager in the development of Weekly Focus training materials.

Collaborate with Corporate Training Manager to develop new Menu/LBW/LTO roll-outsCollaborate with Regional Culinary Directors (RDCs) and HR teams to identify training needs and develop tailored programsSupport RDCs in addressing specific employee performance issues through targeted coachingTechnology UtilizationLeverage learning management systems (LMS) to deliver and track training programsStay updated on industry trends and incorporate modern training techniques and technologiesLeadership and team-building abilitiesAdaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentAnalytical thinking is used to assess training effectiveness and make data-driven decisionsPassion for employee development and customer service excellenceRequirementsQualifications and Skills: Education: Relevant certifications in training and development (e.

g. , Certified Hospitality Trainer) are a plusServSafe Manager CertificationExperience: 2+ years of culinary experience1+ years of experience at Chicken N Pickle Hands-on experience with restaurant operations, including front-of-house and or back-of-house proceduresSkills: Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProficiency in training software and tools, including LMS platformsKnowledge of food safety and workplace health regulationsWorking Conditions: Must be based in Grapevine, TX near our COTE (Center of Training Excellence)Regular travel between restaurant locations to deliver trainingFlexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, depending on training needsPay:
