Chief Academic Officer

The Chief Academic Officer (CAO) serves as the senior executive responsible for leading the academic vision, strategy, and operations, ensuring that the institution’s academic model is future-oriented, student-centered, and aligned with global education trends, industry needs, and technological advancements. The CAO is responsible for ensuring high academic quality delivery, curriculum innovation, faculty excellence, accreditation, outstanding student outcomes, and regulatory compliance across all locations where the university operates. What We Expect from You ?Support the CEO in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of all areas of activity, ensuring that SIU delivers outstanding student outcomes.Work in collaboration with other members of the Executive Committee to maintain academic systems and solve challenges in the organisation.Lead university administrative and academic leaders to support realisation of the university mission in academic affairs.Lead cross-campus efforts to ensure student achievement, learning outcomes and satisfactory learning experience.Support the institution in relationships with partner or collaborating universities, nongovernment, and professional organisations.Oversee that quality control procedures are up-to-date and adequate and ensure the proper review of academic programs and improvement plans.Lead Innovation in new program development in compliance with accreditation as well as state and local regulations, and according to the strategic objectives of the university ownership.Lead Innovation in the area of Educational Technology and guarantee an Academic Model in line with the educational needs of an international higher education institution.Design and Implement faculty evaluation system and professional training and development across campuses.Any other duties as assigned by the CEO.What Experience will You Bring to the Role?A PhD from an accredited institution.Demonstrated Strong Leadership Skills in Academic Environments.At least 5 years’ experience in higher education and administration leadership.Experience working with Educational technology for face-to-face, online and hybrid teaching and learning.Experience leading large groups of faculty teams.Knowledge of foreign languages and intercultural skills a plus.LanguagesEither native English speaker or proficiency level of English competencyLocal language (French, German, Spanish), desirableReady to be part of this journey?
