The role is based in Bucharest and reports to the Controllership Director CEE, with a dotted line to the Finance Director CEEThis role is based in Nicolae Cânea, nr. 140-158, Bucharest.Primary purpose of the positionManagement of a team of about 5 peopleTimely and accurate financial statements and reporting (US GAAP + Local GAAP)Contribution to financial results, including achievement of financial goals and operating driversEnsure tax compliance and legal requirements are coveredAssures compliance with internal controls, policies and proceduresContributes to implementing successfully strategic projects What you do on a typical day:Supervise General Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Accounting, Tax, and SOX activities effectively and efficiently.Maintain an accounting system that ensures accurate representation of financial results.Monitor, improve, and simplify financial systems and processes related to accounting and internal controls.Ensure timely submission, accuracy, and integrity of financial and tax information in compliance with US GAAP, Local GAAP standards, and local tax regulations.Maintain a strong internal control environment: ensure appropriate segregation of duties, keep SOX documentation exhaustive and updated, perform SOX controls on time, and promptly remediate SOX gaps and audit findings.Coordinate internal and external audits and act as the key contact for tax audits.Serve as a business partner by providing financial insights to other departments, operational sites, local management, and the leadership team. Develop and strengthen relationships with support functions (FP&A, HR, Tax, Legal, Treasury). Proactively collaborate with the Finance Director and business teams on strategic projects.Support company initiatives such as ERP rollouts, consolidation system implementation, and business process improvements. Drive and sponsor financial projects.Actively contribute to achieving company objectives and improving financial performance (EBITDA, FCF, etc.).Lead, inspire, and coach the team to achieve excellence. Foster a culture of high performance and collaboration in a caring environment.Candidate Profile:10+ years of experience relevant to finance and accounting. University Degree BA, Economics/Accounting/Business Management. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or its equivalent.
