Chief Accountant

LIN SCAN – the leading provider of inline inspection services in Oil & Gas field - is looking for the Chief Accountant to join our Team. LIN SCAN is looking for an experienced Accountant who will review and monitor day-to-day accounting activities of LIN SCAN and its Subsidiaries up to the issue of financial statements, and will be reporting to the Regional Finance Manager and LIN SCAN CEO. We will only consider candidates with international exposure. The job location is in Cairo, Egypt. Main duties and responsibilities: Financial Reporting:

Preparing, analyzing, and presenting financial reports to management that summarize the company's financial performance. This includes the preparation of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow as per IFRS StandardsCost Accounting: Developing and maintaining the company's cost accounting system to ensure accurate product costing and pricing. This includes analyzing production costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and preparing reports on costBudgeting and Forecasting: Developing annual budgets and financial forecasts for the company. This includes coordinating with other departments to obtain inputs and assumptions needed for budgeting and forecastingInventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring accurate inventory valuation.

This includes conducting periodic physical inventory counts, reconciling inventory records, and identifying and resolving discrepanciesCompliance: Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, legal regulations, and company policies.

This includes staying up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations and making necessary adjustments to the company's accounting processLiaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for audit purposesAnalyze financial data and provide insights to the Finance Manager and senior manager for reviewsReviewing the schedule related to assets additional/deletionReviews of all accruals for expensesAllocation of tool capitalization costsIssue, Monitor and collect transfer pricing invoices for Leasing, Sales of spare parts, Trade mark, Patent and LIN SoftProcesses insurance requirementsArranging bank guarantees, L/C’s and other to the bankWeekly meeting with the CEO, Production manager to discuss any financial issuesTimely preparation of financial statements and completion of auditsMaintaining / reviewing periodically the financial policies/procedures and internal control system/procedures to make sure that his team considering that, and to raise the results report to the Regional Finance ManagerMonitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completenessAnalytical reviewing for the petty cash expenses and others cost and to raise the report to the Group Finance ManagerRandomly get physical inventory items verified with booksMonitoring the local Tax compliance and monthly report should be raised to the Regional Finance ManagerProvide financial management support to the Finance Manager in areas such as financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and complianceWork closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial information is provided in a timely mannerDevelop and implement cost management strategies to optimize financial performanceAssist in risk management activities to mitigate financial risksCompetency Requirements:

Analytical - synthesizes complex or diverse information. Problem solving - identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Communication - able to articulate clearly and persuasively challenges and opportunities in positive or negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills and conducts productive meetings. Delegation - delegates work assignments, gives authority to work independently, sets expectations and monitors delegated activities. Leadership - inspires and motivates others to perform and accepts 360 feedback.

Management skills - include staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating and establishing process improvement initiatives; be available for the staff [if and when required]; provides regular performance feedback; and develops subordinates’ skills and encourage growth. Skills/Experience required: BS degree in Accounting and a CPA certificate are a mustMinimum of 5 years of accounting experience as a chief accountantExperience within the Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, or Contracting sectorPayments, Collection, and invoicing control experiencedOthers: Open to frequent travel to the UAE, with availability to stay for three-month assignments on a quarterly basis.

Ability to travel without any major visa restrictionsReadiness for frequent to the UAE or other countriesPhysical and Mental Requirements: Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 poundsMobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwellsCommunication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectivelyFocus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectivelySafety Equipment:
