Chief Architect

We’re looking for a PrivX Chief Architect to own the architectural vision and strategy for SSH’s PrivX Desktop platform and related secure-access solutions.As a PrivX Chief Architect, you’ll define the client-side architecture and front-end components of the PrivX product suite. You’ll work on the design of PrivX modules with a focus on secure client–backend interactions and user experience consistency.You’ll set the technical direction, design integration patterns across domains, and ensure architectural consistency, scalability, and security. Collaborating with Principal Architects, engineering teams, and product leaders, you’ll define how PrivX evolves - establishing standards, guiding design, and mentoring others to deliver robust, secure solutions.As part of our PrivX R&D team, you’ll work on new areas such as zero configuration between client and server, managing non-human identities, and evolving the client–server communication model. PrivX is already well established, but these expansions give you the chance to influence design choices early and lead their technical direction.Your ResponsibilitiesBuild and own the technology roadmap for your domain, aligning it with product strategy and long-term company goalsDesign architecture and component interactions - including APIs, protocols, data flows, and hierarchy between servicesParticipate in customer technical discussions, translating requirements into features and performance improvements.Lead by example in hands-on coding, prototyping, and reviewing to guide quality and practices.Act as a development thought leader, improving tools, processes, and coding standards across teams.Communicate a clear architectural vision internally and explain design choices to customers and partners.What We Are Looking ForProven experience in secure access and privileged access management across complex enterprise systemsExperience detailing API flows, component hierarchies, protocols, and system interactionsExperience with Go, Python, or C/C++ and modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker)Ability to translate complex architecture into clear, practical solutionsExcellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholdersCurious and collaborative mindset Build, lead, and inspire - apply now to shape the future of secure access with SSH.
