About the roleWe are seeking an accomplished Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead ReCatalyst’s global commercial strategy and execution, strengthening our commercial foundations ahead of Series A and driving the company’s scale-up phase.The CCO will hold clear ownership of revenue generation, leading the conversion of ongoing PoC and pilot projects into signed licensing, joint-development, and off-take agreements, as well as structuring complex partnerships with major industrial players across the hydrogen and specialty chemicals value chain.This role combines strategic leadership, commercial execution, and financial acumen, ensuring that all key partnerships and agreements are aligned with ReCatalyst’s long-term strategic and investor objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Strategy & ExecutionDefine and execute ReCatalyst’s global commercial and go-to-market strategy for catalyst materials and technology licensing.Own commercial performance targets, converting pilot and PoC projects into long-term revenue agreements (licensing, JV, off-take).Lead pricing strategy and value-based commercial models that reflect the economic and technical impact of ReCatalyst’s technology.Strategic Partnerships & Deal StructuringStructure and negotiate complex commercial collaborations, including joint ventures, stage-gated collaborations, and milestone-driven agreements.Work closely with legal counsel to ensure robust, compliant, and financially sound contracts.Support due diligence and commercial validation activities linked to the Series A process.Commercial Operations & Team LeadershipOversee business development, sales, and commercial finance functions.Build scalable commercial processes and ensure operational excellence in deal execution and partner management.Collaborate with the CTO and COO to align technical development and market priorities.Financial & Risk PlanningAnticipate indirect or hidden costs in industrial partnerships (qualification, certification, performance guarantees) related to specific requirements in targeted industries.Develop and track development-linked financials for commercial projects.International Market DevelopmentExpand ReCatalyst’s presence and partnerships across EMEA, North America, and APAC regions.Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, component manufacturers, and hydrogen ecosystem leaders.Represent ReCatalyst at key industry events and forums, strengthening visibility and strategic positioning.Qualifications and ExperienceAt least 5-10 years of senior commercial leadership experience within advanced materials, hydrogen technologies, or specialty chemicals.Proven track record in structuring and closing high-value licensing, joint venture, or off-take agreements.Strong understanding of commercial finance, value-based pricing, and contract structuring.Experience bridging technical performance metrics with commercial value creation.International mindset, comfortable working across multiple regions and cultures (EMEA, NA, APAC).Familiarity with open-innovation frameworks and corporate–startup collaboration models.Entrepreneurial, execution-driven, and comfortable operating in a dynamic scale-up environment.Ability to balance strategic patience with commercial urgency, acting decisively in a competitive, fast-evolving market.What We OfferA pivotal leadership role shaping the commercial trajectory of a cutting-edge hydrogen technology company.Direct impact on ReCatalyst’s global commercialization and Series A readiness.Competitve compensation and participation in VSOP (Virtual Share Option Pool).Opportunity to work alongside world-class advisors and investors (ex-Johnson Matthey, ex-Solvay, leading hydrogen funds).Dynamic, mission-driven environment combining scientific excellence and entrepreneurial execution.Flexible and hybrid working model and international collaboration through ReCatalyst’s global partner network.Permanent full-time position with a starting trial period.Published on 10/11/2025, and valid until the position has been occupied.
