The role will combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution, overseeing market expansion, digital product commercialization, investor relations, and team development.The Chief Commercial Officer will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s vision, driving revenue growth, and ensuring long-term value creation across global markets.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Strategy & GrowthDefine, refine, and execute the company’s go-to-market and commercial expansion strategy across multiple geographies.Lead the onboarding and engagement of strategic aviation partners, including airlines, airports, and fuel suppliers.Build scalable frameworks for customer acquisition, retention, and ecosystem growth.Identify new business models and partnership opportunities to strengthen competitive advantage.Sales Leadership & Product CommercializationOversee enterprise-level sales processes and negotiations with global aviation stakeholders.Translate customer requirements into commercial strategies that inform product development priorities.Ensure that commercial targets align with overall strategic objectives and investor expectations.Develop pricing strategies, contracts, and performance metrics that drive sustainable profitability.Fundraising & Investor RelationsLead fundraising initiatives, including capital raising, investor presentations, and due-diligence processes.Build and manage relationships with institutional investors, venture capital firms, and strategic partners.Collaborate with the Board to define valuation, growth milestones, and investor communications.Serve as a credible commercial voice of the company in investor forums and industry engagements.Marketing, Communications & Brand PositioningOversee all marketing, branding, and external communications initiatives.Position the company as a recognized leader in aviation digital transformation and fuel procurement technology.Drive visibility through thought leadership, media presence, and participation in key aviation and energy conferences.Ensure consistency and professionalism across all brand touchpoints.Financial & Organizational LeadershipOversee corporate financial planning, budgeting, and performance reporting.Ensure strong commercial governance and alignment of expenditure with growth objectives.Build and mentor a high-performing cross-functional team spanning sales, partnerships, marketing, and operations.Lead the recruitment and retention of top-tier commercial and technical talent.Instill a culture of accountability, innovation, and measurable impact.Core ExperienceMinimum 15 years of professional experience, including 10+ years in senior commercial or general management positions within aviation, energy, or related digital sectors.Proven success in scaling technology-driven B2B platforms — ideally within aviation, logistics, or fuel management ecosystems.Demonstrated experience closing complex, high-value enterprise agreements with global aviation customers.Deep understanding of digital platform economics, procurement digitization, and network-effect business models.Prior experience leading fundraising activities (Seed through Series A/B) or corporate investment initiatives.Leadership & Strategic SkillsExceptional leadership presence and strategic acumen, capable of influencing across C-suite and board levels.Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in high-growth, entrepreneurial environments.Expertise in aligning commercial, technical, and financial strategies to drive sustainable value.Track record of building strong corporate cultures that emphasize performance, collaboration, and innovation.Preferred BackgroundsAviation technology, aviation fuel procurement, or flight operations software.Digital marketplace or SaaS platform commercialization.Energy or logistics technology sectors with a focus on procurement, supply chain, or infrastructure digitization.Candidates from traditional trading environments will be considered only if they demonstrate modern digital commercialization experience.Personal AttributesVisionary thinker with a hands-on, results-oriented approach.Entrepreneurial and resilient and thrives in fast-moving, high-growth environments.Strong communicator capable of building trust with investors, partners, and teams.Globally minded, commercially astute, and comfortable navigating complex stakeholder ecosystems.Passionate about innovation, transformation, and driving measurable industry change.
