Chief Data Scientist

We are looking for a Chief Data Scientist to join our team.In this role, you will take the lead in applying advanced data science and machine learning techniques to address complex supply chain challenges, improve processes, and drive smarter decision-making. You will work independently while collaborating with Supply Chain engineering teams to design and implement impactful solutions that leverage AI innovations and data-driven strategies to shape the future of our supply chain operations. ResponsibilitiesDevelop, optimize, and deploy advanced machine learning models and algorithms tailored to supply chain applications, such as demand forecasting, inventory optimization, network planning, and logistics improvementsWork closely with Supply Chain engineering teams to understand their data requirements, workflows, and technical constraintsManage the full lifecycle of data science projects, from problem identification and data exploration to model implementation and performance trackingUtilize expertise in Generative AI to build applications that integrate AI servicesApply advanced knowledge of time-series analysis, forecasting, and statistical modeling to supply chain and external data sourcesPerform in-depth data analyses to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities to enhance supply chain efficiencyPresent insights, findings, and technical concepts to diverse audiences through clear and effective visualizations and narrativesStay up-to-date on the latest advancements in AI and supply chain technologies, experimenting with innovative techniques and solutionsDesign and implement solutions for batch and real-time algorithms, including tools for monitoring, logging, testing, and performance evaluation RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related fieldAt least 7 years of experience in data science and machine learning, with a focus on supply chain applicationsA minimum of 2 years of experience leading and managing teams, with the ability to drive technical direction, enforce best practices, and deliver high-quality outcomesParticipation in at least 2 full-cycle projects or involvement in multiple projects across different stages of the development lifecycleExpertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with experience using machine learning tools like MLFlowAdvanced proficiency in relational SQL databases and NoSQL systemsStrong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, Scala, or Rust, with experience using machine learning libraries and frameworksDeep understanding of supply chain principles, processes, and data structuresProven record of deploying data science solutions that improve supply chain performanceExcellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities for addressing complex challenges creativelyStrong communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersPassion for staying informed about industry trends and sharing knowledge with team membersHands-on experience with Generative AI services and open-source modelsSelf-starter with the ability to manage projects independently and ensure their successful completionComfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environmentsFluent in English, both written and spoken, at a B2+ level or higher Nice to haveExperience with distributed computing technologies such as SparkAdvanced knowledge of deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch, with practical experience in building complex AI systems We offerInternational projects with top brandsWork with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peersHealthcare benefitsEmployee financial programsPaid time off and sick leaveUpskilling, reskilling and certification coursesUnlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000+ coursesGlobal career opportunitiesVolunteer and community involvement opportunitiesEPAM Employee GroupsAward-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn
