Footmark Technology is a fast-growing technology startup focused on AI-powered travel operation. We're on a mission to empower travellers and trip advisors to capture their travel experiences using a series of footmarks (latitidues and longtitues) aligned with time. By creating their own itineraries, they leave behind their footmarks that can inspire and help others explore the world. As we scale, we're looking for a dynamic, hands-on Chief Executive Officer to help shape the next phase of our growth.Position Overview:The CEO (Australia) will act as a key strategic partner to the Founders and take full ownership of development and implement strategic initiatives aligned with long-term company goals. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys building from the ground up, and can seamlessly shift between strategic thinking and tactical execution. You will be responsible for turning vision into operational reality across all areas of the business.Key Responsibilities:Operational Leadership: Build and oversee day-to-day operations including product delivery, customer experience, people operations, finance, and business processes.Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Executive and leadership team to define company strategy and translate it into executable operational plans.Process Optimization: Establish systems, processes, and KPIs that support scale and efficiency as the company grows.Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and lead cross-functional teams to support a high-performance and accountable culture.Execution Focus: Drive alignment and accountability across departments to ensure delivery on growth targets and strategic objectives.Fundraising Support: Partner with the Founders in investor communications, due diligence, and operational planning related to funding rounds.Risk & Compliance: Implement practices to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and security standards appropriate to the startup’s stage and industry.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a bridge between technical, commercial, and customer-facing teams to ensure operational cohesion.What We're Looking For:Prior experience in an operational leadership role at a startup or high-growth tech company.Proven track record of scaling operations and building teams in an early-stage or Series A/B environment.Strong understanding of business functions such as finance, HR, legal, product, and customer success.Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with an ability to inspire and align teams.Analytical, data-driven mindset with the ability to make decisions under uncertainty.Flexible, resourceful, and entrepreneurial attitude – you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.Why Join Us:Be part of a passionate founding team building something meaningful from the ground up.High impact role with ownership and decision-making authority.Competitive compensation and equity package.Opportunity to help define culture, structure, and the future of a company with huge potential.This is a leadership position that requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and hands-on management.
