It works in collaboration with medical colleges, governments, and health stakeholders to position general surgery as a respected and sustainable career pathway, while advancing workforce planning and the highest standards of care.VisionTo maintain Specialist General Surgery as a respected, prestigious, and rewarding surgical career and to meet the evolving surgical needs of patients across Australia.ValuesExcellence | Accountability | Collaboration | Commitment | SustainabilityAbout The RoleReporting to the GSA Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for leading the strategic, governance, and advocacy functions of the organisation, ensuring alignment with GSA’s mission to promote excellence in surgical care, education, and workforce planning.The CEO works closely with the Board and the Deputy CEO/Director of Operations to deliver strategic priorities and support day to day operations.
