Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – HVAC ServicesLocation: Southeastern United States (On-site leadership required)Compensation: Competitive base salary + performance bonus + equity participationAbout the CompanyOur client is a rapidly expanding HVAC services company based in the Southeastern U.S., providing residential and light commercial heating, cooling, and maintenance services. Backed by a private equity sponsor, the company is entering its next phase of growth with a focus on strengthening operations, expanding service capabilities, and scaling into new territories through both organic initiatives and acquisitions. The firm is seeking an experienced CEO to lead the business through this growth trajectory, elevate operational performance, and build a scalable, best-in-class HVAC services platform.Position OverviewThe CEO will set the strategic direction for the company and oversee all commercial and field operations across service, maintenance, replacement, installation, and sales. This leader will be responsible for driving revenue growth, improving operational efficiency, enhancing customer experience, and building a high-performance leadership team capable of executing a multi-market expansion strategy.The ideal candidate will have experience leading or scaling a multi-location services business within HVAC, home services, facilities services, mechanical services, or a similar field-based environment. Private-equity experience and familiarity with roll-ups or acquisitive growth models are strongly preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Growth Leadership: Develop and execute a growth strategy to expand market presence, grow maintenance contract revenue, and drive recurring service profitability.Operational Excellence: Standardize operating procedures, dispatching and scheduling efficiency, technician productivity, pricing strategy, fleet and inventory management, and safety programs across all locations.Commercial Expansion: Strengthen go-to-market strategy, marketing efforts, channel partnerships, and customer retention programs to drive both residential and commercial service revenue.People & Culture: Build a high-impact leadership team; attract, develop, and retain top technical and operational talent; foster a culture focused on safety, accountability, customer service, and performance.Financial Management: Manage full P&L, performance reporting, budgeting, cash flow, job profitability, and pricing strategy; partner with the PE sponsor on value creation initiatives.M&A Integration: Lead acquisition identification, due diligence support, and integration to create standardized processes, unify brand expectations, and ensure cultural alignment.Customer Experience: Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery with strong technician training, customer communication, and service guarantees.Stakeholder Engagement: Provide clear reporting, insights, and recommendations to the Board and private equity partners to drive long-term enterprise value.Ideal Candidate ProfileProven leadership experience as CEO, President, COO, GM, or senior executive in HVAC, home services, mechanical services, facilities services, or other field-service-based industries.Experience managing a multi-location business with field technicians and service operations is highly preferred.Strong operator with a track record of improving technician productivity, service margins, customer satisfaction, and recurring revenue programs.Prior experience in a private-equity-backed or high-growth environment preferred; comfortable executing value creation plans, KPI-driven performance, and roll-up strategies.Skilled at building scalable systems, processes, and talent infrastructure required for growth.Hands-on, execution-oriented leader with the ability to inspire teams at all levels.Based in or willing to relocate to the Southeastern U.S.
