Chief Executive Officer – Motor Finance ProviderLocation: Ireland / DublinType: Permanent | Executive LeadershipReports To: Board of Directors / OwnerAbout the CompanyFS Recruitment has been exclusively retained by a well-capitalised international motor finance provider that is expanding operations in Ireland. The company offers flexible credit solutions to dealerships and brokers and is now entering the Irish market with strong backing and a long-term commitment.This is a rare opportunity to lead the growth of a regulated retail credit provider with full operational and strategic responsibility.The OpportunityWe’re seeking a strong operator or ambitious senior leader someone currently working at Head of Operations, COO, CRO, or similar PCF level, ready to step into their first CEO role.This is more than just a strategic leadership post. It’s an opportunity to build a high-performing, customer-focused business from scratch. You’ll lead the licence application with the Central Bank of Ireland, build and manage the team, define the operating model, and represent the firm with partners, regulators, and the wider market.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipDevelop and implement the company’s strategic and operational plans aligned with the owner’s vision.Identify growth opportunities, market trends, and competitive positioning strategies.Represent the company with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, financial partners, and investors.Drive innovation in financial product offerings, digital transformation, and customer experience.Operational OversightOversee daily operations across all departments, including sales, customer service, underwriting, collections, and IT.Implement robust operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems.Monitor and improve operational efficiency, scalability, and service delivery.Regulatory Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure full compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, particularly under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Consumer Protection Code and Retail Credit Firm regulations.Oversee risk management strategies, including credit risk, operational risk, and reputational risk.Ensure all internal processes meet audit and compliance standards.Financial OversightManage the annual budget, financial forecasting, and performance analysis in collaboration with the finance team.Drive profitability while maintaining customer-centric lending practices.Monitor and report on KPIs and company performance to the owner and/or Board.Team Leadership & CultureLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing leadership team and staff.Foster a performance-oriented and customer-first culture aligned with the company’s values.Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace.Ideal CandidateOperating at a senior level within consumer credit, motor finance, or financial services.Experience working in or alongside PCF-controlled roles (e.g. PCF1, 8, 12, 14, or 52), with a strong understanding of the CBI’s regulatory expectations.Commercially minded, data-driven, and confident managing P&L, budgets, and forecasting.Proven people leader with the ability to build a high-performing, resilient team from scratch.
