Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) — PE‑BackedOur client is a professional services group backed by private equity. They are seeking a Group CFO to partner with the CEO, Board and investors to scale across the UK US and Europe. You’ll own financial strategy and governance, elevate reporting and insight, and build a high‑performing finance function that balances growth with cash discipline and control.What you’ll do • Lead group financial strategy, planning and capital allocation; shape long‑term growth, international expansion and potential M&A. • Act as principal liaison to PE investors and lenders; deliver high‑quality board packs, forecasts and KPI insight. • Drive EBITDA, cash conversion and working capital performance; run a 13‑week cashflow. • Strengthen governance, risk management and multi‑jurisdiction compliance; ensure the business is diligence‑ready. • Oversee finance operations (management accounts, payroll, credit control, AP/AR, contractor payments) and implement scalable systems (ERP/AP automation/FP&A). • Lead, develop and inspire the finance team; set cadence, metrics and standards.What you’ll bring • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent). • Proven success as CFO or FD ideally from a PE‑backed or investor‑backed environment. • Board and investor engagement skills; confident communicator. • Multi‑entity, UK/US experience; professional services or recruitment background. • Strong FP&A, cash and working‑capital toolkit; willing to be hands‑on.This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that is expected to grow substantially over the next 5 years and likely to go through their next transaction.
