Job Description

Infiniium have an upcoming opportunity through a highly respected global PE House to source a Chief Finance Officer to join one of their portfolio businesses ASAP in a permanent role. Ideally the client is looking locally in Brazil, however are open to considering someone to work remotely from the UK/Portugal/Europe who's a seasoned CFO with fluent Portuguese/English skills and is happy to travel regularly.You would be responsible for financial management, controlling, and strategic planning of an established business in Brazil. The successful candidate will be responsible for capital restructuring, optimization of operational processes, cash management, and corporate governance, ensuring sustainable growth and alignment with best market practices. Integrated into the Executive Board (4 members), reporting directly to the Group's shareholders, leading the Finance Department (5 people) you will be responsible for the controlling of 4 vertically integrated business entities and act as the main point of contact with banks, investors, and external auditors. In further detail, the responsibilities would be:-1. Financial Management & StrategyStructuring and executing short, medium, and long-term financial plans, aligned with the company's expansion strategy.Direct support to operational decisions through financial analyses integrated with production (costs per kg of fish, fillet yield, margin per sales channel).Monitoring and reporting of liquidity, profitability, and leverage KPIs (EBITDA margin, Debt/EBITDA, Equity-to-Asset ratio).Definition of stress scenarios and simulations of commercial price impact and performance.2. ControllingImplementation of zero-based budgeting and cost efficiency discipline throughout the operation.Management and control of cash flow with an average turnover of ~R$10 million/month, maintaining a variation of less than 10% vs. forecast.Supervision of the implementation of IFRS accounting practices, in conjunction with an external accounting firm (tax, personnel, and accounting).Consolidation of financial statements and reconciliation between management reports and IFRS.3. Operations & EfficiencyOptimization of working capital: management of DSO, DPO, and biological stocks.Supervision of ERP systems (SAP Business One) and approval flows in procurementCoordination of external and internal audits, ensuring compliance and governance.Direct support for negotiations with strategic suppliers, including structuring contractual guarantees.4. Capital ManagementStructuring of capital and negotiation of debts with national and international banks.Development of financing instruments: CRA, FIDC, CCBs and operations with real and surety guarantees.Relationship with institutional investors (Ocean 14 Capital) and periodic reporting to the Board of Directors.Coordination of debt restructuring processes and improvement of maturity profiles, spreads and guarantees.If you're looking for an exciting/unique opportunity to work internationally please apply for further information.
