About the RoleWe are seeking an exceptionally skilled and hands-on Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead the company’s end-to-end information and cybersecurity function. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise and extensive telecom industry experience, with a strong background spanning network security, IT systems, infrastructure, billing solutions, data protection, and regulatory compliance.This is a mission-critical, onsite leadership role based in Dubai, responsible for building, strengthening, and governing the company’s cybersecurity framework across multiple markets and business units. The CISO will work closely with executive leadership to protect infrastructure, customer data, and business operations from evolving security threats.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & GovernanceDevelop and execute a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.Establish, maintain, and enforce security governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures.Advise the CEO and Board on emerging threats, risk posture, and strategic security priorities.Lead the company’s cybersecurity transformation journey, embedding security into business operations and technology initiatives.Technical & Operational Security LeadershipOversee all aspects of telecom and IT security, including:Core network and infrastructure security (mobile, fixed, data centers, and cloud).IT systems and enterprise applications, including ERP, CRM, OSS/BSS, and billing platforms.Application and API security, identity and access management (IAM), and encryption standards.Data protection and privacy, including compliance with local and international regulations (e.g., GDPR, TRA, NIST).Endpoint, email, and perimeter defense using next-generation tools and technologies.Direct incident detection, response, and recovery to ensure rapid mitigation of security breaches or vulnerabilities.Lead vulnerability management, penetration testing, threat hunting, and red/blue team exercises.Implement Security Operations Center (SOC) and Network Security Operations Center (NSOC) oversight for proactive monitoring and response.Risk, Compliance & AuditIdentify, assess, and mitigate security risks across infrastructure, systems, and data assets.Ensure compliance with telecom regulatory and cybersecurity standards across all operating markets.Manage internal and external security audits and certifications (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI DSS).Develop disaster recovery and business continuity strategies with the CTO and COO.Collaboration & LeadershipPartner with CTO, CIO, COO, and Product Heads to integrate security into system design and development lifecycles.Build and mentor a world-class cybersecurity team, fostering technical excellence and continuous learning.Drive security awareness and training across the organization.Qualifications & ExperienceProven experience as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), or equivalent senior security leadership role, preferably within a telecommunications or large-scale technology enterprise.15+ years of progressive information security and technology experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.Extensive technical expertise across:Telecom infrastructure and network security (core, access, IP/MPLS, optical, wireless).IT system security (servers, cloud, applications, and endpoints).Billing, OSS/BSS, and customer data systems security.Data privacy, DLP, and compliance frameworks.Proven ability to design and execute enterprise-level cybersecurity programs.Strong familiarity with telecom security standards and regulatory frameworks (ETSI, ITU-T, NIST, ISO 27001, TRA UAE, etc.).In-depth knowledge of threat intelligence, SIEM/SOC management, and incident response.Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCISO, or equivalent are highly desirable.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related discipline.Key CompetenciesHands-on technologist: Deep technical mastery across telecom and IT security domains.Strategic thinker: Aligns cybersecurity initiatives with organizational goals and business priorities.Operational excellence: Proven ability to implement secure, scalable, and compliant environments.Crisis management: Calm and decisive under pressure; leads rapid response to security incidents.Regulatory acumen: Well-versed in local and global cybersecurity and telecom compliance mandates.Collaborative leader: Builds strong partnerships across technology, operations, and business teams.Continuous learner: Keeps abreast of evolving threats, technologies, and regulatory developments.Why Join UsLead and shape the cybersecurity posture of a forward-looking telecom organization from Dubai, a regional technology hub.Work directly with the CEO and executive team to safeguard mission-critical infrastructure and customer data.Build a best-in-class cybersecurity organization with global reach and impact.Be part of a dynamic, innovation-driven culture that values excellence, accountability, and results.
