Atomic Recruitment – Chief Investment Officer (Chinese Family Office)Location: Singapore Reports To: Principals / Investment CommitteeRole OverviewWe are seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead the office’s investment strategy, portfolio construction, and multi-asset operations. The CIO will oversee multi-asset portfolios, drive investment accounting and performance reporting, and collaborate closely with Principals, the Investment Committee, and external partners to deliver disciplined governance and superior long-term returns.This role combines strategic oversight with operational excellence and requires strong expertise across public and private equities, fixed income, alternatives, real estate, and digital assets.Key ResponsibilitiesInvestment Strategy & Portfolio ManagementDefine and implement Strategic (SAA) and Tactical (TAA) Asset Allocation frameworks in line with the Investment Policy Statement (IPS) and long-term objectives.Translate strategy into actionable portfolio construction and investment decisions, including asset selection and allocation.Manage multi-asset portfolios to achieve optimal risk-adjusted returns across equities, fixed income, alternatives, real estate, FX, insurance, and digital assets.Monitor portfolio performance, conduct TWR/MWR analyses, and adjust positioning based on macroeconomic outlook and market trends.Operations & Investment AccountingLead a team of investment accountants overseeing trade bookings, valuations, reconciliations, and performance reporting.Establish a consolidated reporting framework combining personal and corporate holdings, including proportional equity consolidation.Design chart of accounts and tagging taxonomy (asset class, liquidity, currency, region, strategy, legal structure).Oversee multi-asset valuation and NAV reporting, including private equity, real estate, structured products, digital assets, and insurance.Drive workflow automation and system integration, transitioning from Excel to PMS/fund accounting/reporting platforms (e.g., Geneva, Investran, eFront, Advent, Power BI).Governance, Compliance & Stakeholder EngagementPartner with Principals, custodians, banks, and fund managers to ensure smooth execution, accurate reporting, and strong governance.Lead audit preparation, KYC/AML compliance, internal control frameworks, and valuation committees.Preferred ProfileEducation & Certification: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Economics, or related field. CFA, CAIA, or CPA preferred.Experience: 5–10 years in multi-asset portfolio management, investment accounting, or family office/fund administration, with exposure to public/private markets, real estate, and alternatives.Hands-on experience with capital accounts, waterfall distributions, LPA/PPM, real estate accounting, and digital asset controls.Strong proficiency in Excel, Python/VBA, and PMS/reporting systems (Power BI).Proven ability to lead teams, streamline operations, and implement investment accounting frameworks.Key Skills & AttributesStrategic thinker with hands-on execution ability.Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented with high governance standards and integrity.Excellent communicator with Principals, external managers, and internal teams.Experience in system migration, reporting automation, and workflow optimization.Interested candidates, please apply.
