Chief Investment Officer

Location: Dubai, United Arab EmiratesIndustry: Real Estate DevelopmentReports To: Chief Executive Officer / Board of DirectorsThe Chief Investment Officer (CIO) will lead the company’s investment strategy, capital allocation, and financial growth initiatives across the UAE and international markets. The CIO will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, structuring, and managing investment opportunities across residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use real estate developments. The role demands deep market knowledge, strong financial acumen, and a proven track record in driving high-value real estate transactions, JVs and partnerships with Equity investors and Land owners. Core focus of the role is capital raise through their own network with Family Offices, UHNWIs, strategic investors for UAE real estate developments at SPV level.Investment Strategy & LeadershipDevelop and execute the company’s investment strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives.Lead Capital raise initiatives to raise Equity for projects ie 300 Million - 500 Million AED per projectIdentify and assess real estate investment opportunities across development, acquisition, and joint venture models.Lead due diligence, feasibility studies, and valuation processes for prospective projects and acquisitions.Advise the CEO and Board on capital deployment, market entry, and asset management strategies.Oversee portfolio performance and recommend optimization measures to maximize returns.Financial Structuring & Capital RaisingStructure investment vehicles, project financing, and partnerships with institutional investors, family offices, and sovereign funds.Lead negotiations for debt and equity financing with banks, family offices, private equity firms, and capital markets.Manage investor relations and reporting, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory standards.Drive financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, cash flow, waterfalls, JV structures and ROI projections for major developments.Market Intelligence & Risk ManagementMonitor macroeconomic, demographic, and regulatory trends impacting the UAE and regional real estate markets.Evaluate competitive landscape and advise on pricing, positioning, and timing strategies.Implement risk management frameworks to mitigate financial, operational, and market risks.Team & Organizational LeadershipLead and mentor the investment and finance teams, fostering a culture of performance and innovation.Collaborate closely with Development, Design, Sales, and Legal teams to align investment decisions with project execution.Represent the company in investor meetings, conferences, and strategic partnerships.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.Minimum 15+ years of experience in investment management, private equity, or real estate finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Proven track record in real estate development investments and capital raise within the UAEDeep understanding of real estate valuation, project finance, and capital market instruments.Strong relationships with regional and international investors, financial institutions, and development partners.Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.Key CompetenciesStrategic and entrepreneurial mindsetStrong leadership and stakeholder managementHigh financial and commercial acumenDecision-making under uncertaintyExcellent presentation and investor relations skillsAbility to raise equity for projects within 3 Months of identifying a development opportunityCompensationCompetitive salary and performance-based incentives, as part of short term incentive scheme opportunity to participate in profit share and as part of long term incentive scheme participate in shareholding
