Location: Cameroon, Central AfricaStatus: Open to international and expatriate candidates particularly those from Africa, Asia, Europe, and India.KORV Consulting is supporting one of its clients in recruiting a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee all operational activities and ensure the successful execution of the company’s strategic plan.The COO will supervise, coordinate, and optimize the group’s production, logistics, maintenance, customer service, and supply chain functions, while maintaining close alignment with the commercial department.The role focuses on operational excellence, cost efficiency, quality performance, and client satisfaction, with strong attention to safety, regulatory compliance, and innovation.Key Responsibilities 1️⃣ Operations Leadership • Supervise production, supply chain, delivery, and after-sales activities. • Ensure fluid and reliable operational flows (products, data, customers). • Define and monitor KPIs for each business unit. • Guarantee compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. • Analyze performance gaps and implement corrective actions. 2️⃣ Commercial Coordination • Work closely with the commercial division to align operational capacities with sales goals. • Monitor the execution quality of commercial offers (delivery, product availability, timelines). • Support commercial growth through efficient and responsive operations. • Integrate market feedback into operational decision-making. 3️⃣ Strategic Deployment • Translate top management directives into measurable operational objectives. • Identify opportunities for optimization, structuring, and growth. • Lead investment, expansion, and process digitalization projects. • Ensure standardization and harmonization across sites. • Maintain compliance with regulatory and environmental standards. 4️⃣ Leadership & People Management • Manage and motivate operational and commercial department heads. • Develop mid-level leadership and foster accountability. • Promote a performance-driven culture focused on results and collaboration. • Organize performance reviews, steering committees, and action plans. 5️⃣ Budget & Performance Management • Prepare and manage annual departmental budgets. • Monitor profitability, production costs, and logistics efficiency. • Optimize the use of human, material, and financial resources. • Contribute to investment proposals and business cases. • Implement internal control mechanisms and produce strategic reports. 6️⃣ Innovation & Continuous Improvement • Promote Lean Management and process optimization. • Lead the digital transformation of operational tools (ERP, automation, traceability). • Enhance customer satisfaction through reliability and responsiveness. • Ensure continuous market monitoring (regulations, innovations, competitors).👤 Profile Required • Master’s degree (Engineering, Business, or Industrial Management). • 10+ years of experience in operational or industrial leadership roles. • Proven experience managing complex, logistics-intensive environments. • Track record of successful transformation or restructuring projects.⚙️ Core Competencies • Strategic and multi-site operational management. • Mastery of supply chain, industrial production, logistics, and customer service. • Strong project management and analytical skills. • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Odoo, Sage, etc.). • Cross-functional leadership and clear communication. • Professional proficiency in English highly valued.🌟 Personal Attributes • Strategic vision and strong results orientation. • Collaborative leadership and decision-making ability. • Rigor, organization, and follow-up culture. • Analytical and problem-solving mindset. • Reactivity, integrity, and reliability.🌍 International Openness This position is open to international and expatriate profiles, including: • Professionals from the diaspora with industrial or operational leadership experience. • Senior managers experienced in Africa or complex logistics environments. • International leaders familiar with emerging markets and the energy/gas sector.Experience in Cameroon or Central/West Africa is a plus but not mandatory.Relocation and integration support may be provided for selected international candidates.https://www.korv.work/find-jobs/chief-operating-officer--directeur-des-operations#Cotedivoire #India #Morocco #Algeria #Lebanon #France #EU
