Our client, a well-established online gambling operator, with a focus on innovation, player experience, and operational excellence, are seeking an accomplished Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and scale their operations.Role OverviewThe COO will oversee the day-to-day operational strategy and execution across the company, ensuring best-in-class performance in casino operations, payments, risk management, compliance, customer service, and technology delivery.You will act as a key strategic partner to the CEO and board, driving operational efficiency, business scalability, and sustainable profitability.Operational Leadership: Oversee all core operational functions — including casino operations, player experience, payments, risk, fraud prevention, and customer operations.Strategic Execution: Translate company strategy into measurable operational goals, ensuring high performance and cost efficiency.Casino Operations: Supervise product performance, supplier management, bonus systems, and player retention strategies to optimize revenue.Payments & Risk: Lead payment strategy, ensuring seamless processing, high approval rates, and strong fraud mitigation controls.Technology & Systems: Collaborate with the CTO and tech teams to streamline platforms, improve automation, and enhance operational tools.Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies and introduce scalable processes across customer support, CRM, and KYC operations.Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a cross-functional team across multiple regions, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytics to monitor KPIs, player behavior, and operational performance for strategic improvements.Stakeholder Management: Work closely with finance, marketing, and product to ensure cohesive company-wide execution.Key Requirements10+ years of senior leadership experience within the online gambling industry, including at least 5 years in a COO, Operations Director, or equivalent executive role.Strong understanding of payments, fraud prevention, AML, KYC, and responsible gaming frameworks.Deep familiarity with player lifecycle management, CRM, and bonus strategy.Experience overseeing large, multicultural operational teams (including remote teams).Demonstrated ability to implement and optimize complex operational processes.Analytical mindset with strong commercial and data interpretation skills.Excellent stakeholder communication and executive leadership skills.
