Chief Operating Officer

Role Overview:The COO will lead and oversee the operational, R&D, and commercial functions of the company, ensuring smooth coordination between UK and India sites. This role requires a strong blend of pharmaceutical research expertise, commercial acumen, and project management skills to drive formulation development, tech transfer, and product commercialization.Key Responsibilities:Oversee end-to-end operations across UK and India sites, including R&D, manufacturing, and commercial functions.Lead formulation development and R&D projects for oral solid and liquid dosage products, with focus on paediatric and geriatric patients.Manage tech transfer activities and commercial batch production (UK → India), ensuring timely product filing and regulatory compliance.Protect intellectual property and manage patent filing in relevant markets (UK, Europe, US, India).Identify medical gaps and drive innovative drug development aligned with market requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product development, commercial strategy, and tech transfer.Exhibit project management excellence, ensuring timely delivery of development and commercial batches.Act as the strategic link between R&D, manufacturing, and commercial teams, aligning technical and business objectives.Contribute to B2B operations, ensuring techno-commercial alignment and client satisfaction.Key Qualifications & Experience:15–20 years of experience in pharmaceutical R&D, formulation development, and commercial operations (oral solid & liquid dosage forms).PhD in Pharmaceutics or relevant research background strongly preferred.Hands-on experience with paediatric and geriatric product formulations.Proven experience in tech transfer, product filing, and regulatory submissions.Strong commercial understanding and B2B techno-commercial exposure.Experience in setting up and managing small R&D units.Knowledge of European, US, and Indian pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.Excellent project management skills with multi-site operational oversight.
