Childcare Associate

The Childcare Associate is required to perform a range of duties including executing children’s activities and programming, maintaining safe environments and successfully working in a team environment. Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe Childcare Associate is responsible for the following: The number one priority is the responsibility for the children in their care. Supervise and oversee the safety and security of children. Act as a positive role model and treat each child with dignity and respect. Engage the children in classroom activities which may include bible story time, crafts, worship songs, free play, games, or other age appropriate activities.

Provide a clean and healthy environment for kids, following all safety policies and procedures. Reporting all concerns regarding child or parent behaviors to the Childcare Coach or Campus Kids Pastor. Greet parents, establish trust and rapport by building relationships with the children in your care. Thoroughly clean and sanitize toys, chairs, tables and floors after use. Other ResponsibilitiesThe individual will complete responsibilities in accordance with the church’s policies and applicable procedures as assigned. This position needs to be held by a follower of Christ. Position will be held by an individual that is familiar with River Valley KiDS policies and procedures. A passion for caring for children, who can relate well to both kids and adults. Ability to appropriately handle stressful situation. Strong Interpersonal skills. Must be able to talk to both kids and parents alike. Must be available to work flexible schedules, while maintaining good attendance and punctuality. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Live out and are familiar with River Valley Church’s cultural values.

ExperiencePreference will be given to individuals who have served in KiDS previously.
