ADD VALUE - THE ROLEProviding high-quality customer service to the community of Singleton through the delivery of quality Long Day Care Services, key responsibilities for the Childcare Educator - Diploma include.Help plan, implement, and evaluate child-centric programs that are developmentally appropriate and culturally diverse, integrating the Early Years Learning Framework.Support children's learning by modeling play-based environments, participating in curriculum discussions, and suggesting changes.Implement the service's philosophy in teaching and behaviour guidance, adapting as needed.Ensure daily care routines are learning opportunities, employing intentional teaching strategies, and using evaluations for future planning.Essential to this role is a Diploma in Children’s Services, or equivalent, or working towards achieving this qualification, a current Working with Children Check (WWCC), First Aid Certificate, including anaphylaxis and asthma training, previous experience in the care of children aged 0-5 and knowledge of curriculum and legislative frameworks.This position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis working 38 hours per week, with an accrued rostered day off every 4 weeks.Remuneration package for this position is based on Grade 8 of Council's Salary System Protocol which equates to a base salary of $36.55 - $41.11 per hour plus 12% superannuation and other award allowances.
