Job Description

Position Objective: To lead and manage the Operations department, ensuring efficient service delivery, compliance with regulatory standards, and alignment with business growth objectives in the areas of New Business, Underwriting, Policy Servicing, Claims, and Customer Service/Service Quality. Responsibilities: Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations to achieve target turnaround times and high-quality service delivery. Review and update underwriting guidelines to ensure relevance and compliance. Perform underwriting tasks, coach underwriters, and countersign cases. Team & Stakeholder Management:

Build, manage, and develop the Operations team to support business expansion. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Participate in corporate planning, risk management, and compliance initiatives. Strategic & Project Involvement: Contribute to product development, system enhancements, and industry-related projects. Lead or participate in insurance projects (e. g. , product launches, regulatory updates, process improvements). Claims Management: Ensure accurate, timely claims assessment, investigation, and processing in compliance with company policies. QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced qualifications in Business or Insurance are a plus.

8-10 years of experience in Life Insurance industry, with strong Operations expertise. Proven experience in supervisory/management roles, underwriting (including High Net Worth cases), and regulatory compliance. Track record in leading insurance projects (product, system, or regulatory-related). Fluency in English & Mandarin (spoken and written) to effectively engage with a diverse clientele and stakeholders. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to utilize data-driven insights for business development. Proven track record in driving business growth, identifying gaps, and implementing strategic solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships. Strong negotiation and influencing skills to drive business decisions and partnerships. High business acumen and risk assessment capabilities, with a deep understanding of market dynamics and regulatory frameworks. Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and innovative approach to business expansion and revenue generation.
