Job Overview: The Land Acquisitions / Permitting Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and review process of CBAC’s permitting projects, for its new store growth program. Essential Responsibilities: This will include, but not be limited to:
Managing, reviewing and processing complex development and land use projects as a project manager Facilitating development review meetings with cities, property owners, developers, consultants and staff Interpreting design guidelines, land uses, zoning codes, and ordinances Supervising planning staff on various department procedures and processes Delegating work, reviewing work, effectively communicating inter-departmentally with the construction, finance, franchise, legal, and leadership teams on project timelines QualificationsEducation/Certifications Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. Experience may be considered in lieu of education. American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) preferred but not required. Essential Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate must have at least 5-7 years of commercial permit and land development management experience. The requisite experience must include, but will not be limited to: Commercial and/or municipality permit development and project management experience throughout the U. S.
Experience in managing outside consultants and professional services relationships Excellent public speaking ability and experience addressing Planning/Zoning staff, Boards, and City Councils Planning or engineering background strongly encouraged Strong ability to manage multiple projects Demonstrate the ability to outline a permitting path and entitlement process for projects Meeting facilitation and coordination Experience in research, data collection and analysis Technical writing experience Experience with GIS Soft Skills:

Continually demonstrate thorough knowledge of each assigned project. Proactively know the correct next steps for each project in each phase of development. Demonstrate initiative in pre-identifying potential issues and proactively address solutions. Physical Requirements:
