As a Mechanical Engineer Co-Op at SPX Cincinnati Fan, you have the potential to take part in a multi-rotation program with an emphasis in design and manufacturing processes. This unique experience offers an opportunity to learn the different facets of a business with multiple semester rotations.

What you can expect in each of these rotations (Job Responsibilities)Design Engineering Role Provide support with a focus on engineering changesAid in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiativesAdvance product documentation in the engineering department Generate bills of material, implementing updatesDesign and model new products using 3D and 2D CADIntroduction to technical applications between engineering, manufacturing, and salesManufacturing Engineering RolePrimarily assigned to work in the day to day operations of Manufacturing and Quality departmentsProvide support on continuous improvement projects in manufacturing processesDeveloping, implementing, and maintaining processes and documentation to ensure adherence to ISO 9001Assist, as needed, with and 2D CAD drawingPotential work with robotic welding, CNC machining, welding and/or laser cutting processesWhat we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesA strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skillsAble to clearly articulate data and information between departmentsSolid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentalsExcellent verbal and written communication to clearly present technical informationMust have the ability to work independently or in teams, be able to prioritize own work, and meet agreed timelines. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Excel, Word, PowerPointProficient in 3D modeling (prefer Inventor) and use 2D AutoCADSafety oriented, placing safety as priority in all work performedEducation & CertificationsPursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing TechnologyMinimum of 3.
