Job Description

DescriptionThe Managing Director will be a senior coverage banker within the Corporate Banking Division with client and prospect activities focused on General Industry companies. This role serves as the point person on the complete client transactional process, including new client acquisition, deal origination, financing, idea generation, term sheet negotiation, underwriting, documentation, and closing the transaction. This senior Banker will also be responsible for cross-selling the full suite of Citizen’s Capital Markets, Global Markets, and Treasury Management products. This role will cover the PA, OH, and IN territories.

Current office locations are in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Columbus, and Cleveland, however we are open to remote if not in those markets. ResponsibilitiesActively partner with portfolio management, corporate finance, capital markets, and risk management. Significant focus on developing new relationships through a rigorous prospect calling effort. Responsible for driving the overall client relationship and profitability and will be cross-selling the full slate of bank products. Interact with senior management of public and privately owned companies and Private Equity firms’ portfolio companies. Develop new relationships and up-tiering the bank’s position with existing clients through proactively presenting financial solutions.

Develop and deliver presentations to the bank’s executive management at screening and approval meetings in conjunction with deal team partners. Influence and function well in a team environment and view credit/client situations from multiple angles, debate the merits of a given transaction and defend their position both internally and externally. Maintain the effective license to operate by sustaining a high level of trust and confidence by senior line and risk management. Experience10+ years of General Industries corporate banking/corporate finance experience and exhibited competency in client relationship management, financial analysis and credit structuring.

Candidate should be a seasoned, credit trained banker who has thrived in a credit intensive environment. Exhibit skill at negotiation and the development of loan structuring options, with Capital Markets for multi-bank transactions, and be skilled in managing large credit exposures and complex credit situations. Maintain the effective license to operate by sustaining a high level of trust and confidence by senior line and risk management. Possess meaningful, relevant experience with companies in the assigned terrirory and a demonstrated ability to up-tier relationships to Left Lead and Joint Lead Arranger.

Strong experience at a highly advanced level of credit, documentation, proposal, and negotiations both internally and externally. Strong understanding of credit and covenant structures and documenting loans. Demonstrated desire to succeed and drive business. Exhibits comprehensive written and verbal communication skills. Reputation as a team player. Education/CertificationsBachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent work experience. Master’s degree preferred.
