General duties and responsibilities for the Office Assistant III job include, but are not limited to:
Evaluating and processing documents when procedures are unclear;Summarizing materials and preparing reports with analysis and proper formatting;Reviewing office processes and sets up efficient databases, templates, and procedures;Creating, editing, and finalizing documents from rough or corrected copy;Preparing and reviewing forms, reports, and applications for accuracy and completeness;Composing routine correspondence and acknowledgment letters;Providing information and resolving complaints in person or by phone;Assisting the public in completing forms;Maintaining and revising filing and recordkeeping systems;Answering phones and relaying messages to the correct personnel;Coordinating and scheduling meetings as needed;Performing routine clerical tasks supporting daily operations;Performing timekeeping per collective bargaining agreements;Assisting the program Secretary as needed; andPerforming other related duties.
Special Work Requirement: Work schedule is from 7: 45 a. m. - 4: 30 p. m. , with hours varying depending on the vacancy. May also be required to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
