About the RoleAs the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead a high-performing team across financial management, financial accounting and revenue and property. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will partner with the organisation, provide sound financial advice and play a pivotal role in shaping Council’s financial strategy and ensuring sound fiscal governance.

You will provide strategic advice on short and long-term financial planning, enabling leaders across the organisation to manage resources ethically and effectively. You will also oversee Council’s property portfolio and contribute to policy development aligned with federal, state and local legislative frameworks. With a collaborative approach, this role works across all departments, bringing a customer-focused mindset, strategic foresight, and a strong commercial acumen. Your leadership will drive efficiencies, anticipate financial trends, and align financial strategy with organisational priorities, supporting the organisation’s evolution in delivering better outcomes for the community.

With the introduction of a new Oracle finance system, it is vital to ensure efficient outcomes are delivered to the organisation and community. About YouWe are seeking a confident, experienced and strategic leader with a strong background in financial management within large and complex organisations. You bring~Proven experience in leading diverse teamsA collaborative and empathetic leadership styleStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsExpertise in financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting and reportingKnowledge of property portfolio management and relevant legislationA qualification in accounting, commerce or business management, and CPA or CA accreditationA strong commitment to providing a great customer experience.
