About This PositionThe General Maintenance Worker performs maintenance and operations duties at the water plant, water resource recovery facility, lift stations, and booster stations.
Duties include maintaining the plant’s appearance, conducting monthly safety inspections, maintaining safety equipment, and other tasks as needed. They work Tuesday through Friday from 6: 00 A. M. to 4: 30 P. M. They are occasionally required to work beyond normal scheduled work hours.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent12 to 18 months of related experience and/or trainingOr equivalent combination of education and experienceValid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrierResponsibilitiesMaintain the appearance of facilities, including entrances at security gatesWork with in-house and external service providers, contractors, and vendorsComplete housekeeping duties, including touching up paint, for general public areasAssist with tasks assigned to the operations, maintenance, ICE, and well crewsPick up and deliver parts and supplies from various locationsPerform inspections and maintain safety equipmentAssist with and/or perform any specialized projects or assignmentsPick up and deliver mailObtain Water Operator and Wastewater Operator licenses according to the designated schedule:
