Job Description
Developing Quality Systems & DocumentationPrepare, review, and implement Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, checklists.Review technical submittals, material data, shop drawings before procurement/use.Inspection & MonitoringConduct daily / frequent inspections of civil works (earthworks, foundation, rebar, formwork, concrete pouring, finishes, etc.) to confirm compliance.Ensure implementation of ITPs, method statements, safe work practices, and work in accordance with drawings & specs.Testing & Material ControlManage on-site and lab tests: concrete slump, compressive strength, soil/aggregate tests, etc.Check incoming materials (quality, conformity to approved submittals). Ensure proper storage and handling.Non-Conformance / Corrective ActionIdentify & document non-conforming work or materials (NCRs, SORs, IRs). Initiate, follow up, and ensure closure.Perform root cause analysis, propose corrective/preventive actions.Coordination / LiaisonCoordinate with site teams, subcontractors, consultants, clients for inspections, approvals, quality meetings.Ensure proper document control / distribution of approved drawings, specs, revised documents.Reporting & RecordsMaintain quality records: inspection reports, test certificates, calibration records, NCR logs, material submittals, method statements.Prepare periodic reports (daily / weekly / monthly) on QA/QC status, quality metrics, pending actions.Qualifications & Key SkillsEducationBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.Experience3–8+ years in QA/QC in civil construction industry.Knowledge of Codes / StandardsLocal and international standards: ASTM, ACI, BS, ISO, local building codes, safety standards.Technical SkillsMaterial testing, concrete & structural inspection, reading & interpreting drawings & specs, method statements, ITPs.
