The team understand that the effective management of these assets supports Auckland Airport's strategic goals and reputation. The Reliability Engineering team are a team of Engineers who are responsible for the reliability of all building services, utilities and civil assets across the Terminals and Precinct. About The RoleThe purpose of the Civil Reliability Engineer role is to provide and be accountable for a reliable civil infrastructure to ensure all assets are performing to meet customer and regulatory compliance requirements.Some Of Your Key Responsibilities Will Be Coordinate and support the annual pavement condition assessment program, including planning, field inspections, and data interpretation. Provide technical input into prioritisation of pavement renewals and budget planning. Implement and monitor preventative maintenance programs. Review daily logs and PMs to ensure reliability and address root causes of failures. Improve maintenance strategies to boost equipment performance and reduce downtime. Schedule work in advance and coordinate with procurement to ensure parts and tools are available. Be able to work flexible working arrangements as some assets can only be assessed at Nights. The Civil RE is responsible for collecting and analyzing maintenance data, tracking defect trends, and providing inputs for monthly reporting. The role also handles BAU reporting to the business, while high-risk or complex issues are escalated to the Senior Civil RE for formal reporting. Take ownership of the operation and ongoing improvement of digital asset management tools (e.g., GIS, CMMS, inspection apps). Act as the point of contact for system updates, user training, and data quality assurance. Responsible for the day-to-day administration of civil-related contracts, including tracking deliverables, managing variations, contractor performance monitoring, and ensuring compliance with agreed terms and service levels. Build strong relationships with staff, contractors, and suppliers. Prepare and validate contract-related reports, support monthly billing processes, and ensure accurate accruals and financial tracking in collaboration with finance and commercial teams.What You’ll Bring To The RoleAt Auckland Airport, we are a busy hive of activity, and a lot of what we look for is how you would align with our values Respectful, Collaborative, We Care, Integrity and Exceptional. To ensure your success in this role, you will need: Civil Engineering Diploma, or Degree 5 years’ experience in civil engineering works including roading, drainage and asset management. Leadership skills with the ability to influence, combined with the ability to build strong networks with key stakeholders Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and/or other software applications used.
