Civil Structural Engineer

MHL & Associates Ltd are an established consulting engineering firm based in Cork and Kerry. MHL provide services to a wide range of private and public sector clients. MHL’s field of work covers road design, urban renewal schemes, traffic & transport engineering, residential developments, commercial development, infrastructural design and structural engineering. We have a significant, and expanding workload and are looking for enthusiastic engineers to join us.Projects vary from:· Road Design · Urban renewal schemes· Traffic & Transport · Residential Developments· Commercial developments · Infrastructural design · Structural engineering. · Road Safety Audits· Active Travel We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Civil or Structural Engineers to join our design team. In this role you’ll be responsible for:· Producing engineering design drawings and specifications as part of an experienced team.· Liaising with team members and clients on a wide range of projects.· Assisting in the compilation of reports and documents.· To work in both supervised and unsupervised environments ensuring that the technical content of work is acceptable and prepared in agreed timescales.· Report to appropriate team leader on technical issues associated with project work.· Attend site, as necessary.MHL offer engineers the opportunity to expand their experience in a range of engineering fields. MHL are licence holders for an extensive list of specialist software packages allowing all engineers the opportunity to expand their experience and work towards professional chartership. Requirements for this role:· Bachelor degree or masters level qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages· Good communicator and report writer· Good knowledge of Autocad· Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles.· Knowledge of road design standards a benefit· Any experience of Civil/Structural design software packages (Autocad Civil 3d, Site3D, Tekla Tedds, Drainage Design) would also be beneficial.
