Claims Manager/Senior Claims Handler

Metropole Maritime seeks to add a Claims Manager/Senior Claims Handler to its growing team in Istanbul. JOB DESCRIPTION Instruct and manage surveyors, who are investigating the matters / handling losses/performing vessel condition surveys and preloading surveys/ handling crew claim.Contribute to settlement negotiations with claimants and consider possible recoveries from third parties.Negotiate settlement of claims.Build strong relationships with colleagues in branch offices.Develop a collaborative approach to claims handling with clients, brokers and other stakeholders.Obtain and agree a pricing structure and estimate of fees.Maintain personal timesheets in order that all chargeable time can be billed.QUALIFICATIONSProficient in English (both writing and speaking). Technical understanding of marine claims.Ability to manage a designated portfolio of cases.Strong relationship development skills with internal and external stakeholders.Excellent communication skills.A positive team ethos.
