JOB SUMMARY: The RF and Communications Technician is responsible for assisting the RF Supervisor in deployment and maintenance of wireless equipment to ensure operation to Clair standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Prepare wireless equipment per client or operations coordinator specifications within the scope of Clair's mission and core valuesPerform basic repairs to transmitters, receivers, microphones, cables, headsets, and antennas (cosmetic/missing parts) to return equipment to the shop in "like new" conditionQUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the essential functions of this job while exercising independent judgment and discretion.
General understanding of Microsoft Office and ERP systems with a willingness to improve knowledge base moving forwardAbility to communicate information and ideas in writing, in person, and over the phone so others will understandAbility to excel and adapt in a fast-paced, client driven, demanding environmentAbility to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude under sometimes challenging conditionsTech savvy with a genuine interest in learning new technologiesWillingness to accept all jobs assignedPassion for electronics and the audio industryRESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Assemble and inspect electronics racks per specificationCheck equipment in and out of inventory using a bar code scannerDisassemble equipment from racks returning from toursPerform firmware updates and tests equipment to ensure proper operationTest coax cable and antennas using a Spectrum Analyzer/Tracking GeneratorPrepare, check out gear for shipments and transfersMonitor ERP system for inventory availability and communicate system needs within department and to other departments and locationsContribute to the overall activities of the ACS or other departments as may be required from time to time
