With over a million members nationwide (100K here in PA), Clean Water Action is at the forefront of grassroots efforts to protect our nation's environment and public health. For over 50 years, Clean Water Action has succeeded in winning some of the nation's most important environmental protections through grassroots organizing, expert policy research, and political advocacy focused on holding elected officials accountable to the public.

Job DescriptionBecome part of the solution! Help pass environmental legislation that protects all people and all communities. Clean Water Action is hiring community organizers to call our existing members and develop long-term donors for our environmental work. Our current campaigns include stopping the "PERMIT Act" from passing the U. S. House, banning toxic chemicals in household products, holding energy companies accountable for their political spending and providing funding for air pollution monitoring. Phone canvass positions are part-time and provide flexible scheduling. We look for a minimum commitment of 3 months.

We offer shifts Monday-Friday in the evenings with a starting rate of $18 hourly. All employees must be located in the Pittsburgh area.
