In this position, you’ll assist customers with purchases, operate the register, answer phone inquiries, and help ensure the bookstore runs smoothly and efficiently.At UVU, you’ll be part of a supportive team that values service, collaboration, and professional growth. This role offers the opportunity to engage directly with the campus community, develop customer service and retail skills, and contribute to the success of a university dedicated to student achievement and excellence.Summary Of ResponsibilitiesCashiers and balances trays at the end of shifts. Responsible and accountable for all transactions. Answers phones and assists customers. All other duties as assigned.Qualifications / Licenses / CertificationsMust possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience handling cash or operating a register.Knowledge / Skills / AbilitiesKnowledge Knowledge of effective customer service techniques. Skills Interpersonal skills. Problem-solving skills. Abilities Ability to repeatedly lift merchandise. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to communicate with the public effectively. Ability to follow verbal and written procedures and instructions.
