The Prime Brokerage team at MSSG is responsible for providing customized and comprehensive solutions to our institutional clients, including hedge funds, asset managers, and family offices. Our services include trade execution, clearing, financing, and custody services, which are all designed to help them achieve their financial goals, objectives and investment needs. Our role is to provide clients with access to capital, liquidity and advanced trading tools, all of which are essential for their investment strategies. We help to expand their trading capabilities, leverage positions and diversify their portfolio with a wide range of investment opportunities. Additionally, we provide clients with a competitive edge by helping them access new markets, technology and investment strategies. As an intern in Prime Brokerage, you will have the unique opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of financial products and services. You will play a key role in supporting the Prime Brokerage Client Management Team by assisting with client relationship management, market research and the development of strategic opportunities. This hands-on experience will allow you to develop a deep understanding of the industry while contributing to the growth and success of the team.Job Description:Manage day-to-day operational tasks, including client withdrawal processing and the movement of funds to cover account deficits. Prepare and submit monthly reports such as new account openings, internal revenue tracking, retrocession payments to external asset managers, invoice collation for the Business, and various ad-hoc client requests. Support business development initiatives by performing data analysis, market research, and creating customized proposals and pitch decks. Actively participate in training sessions and learning opportunities to deepen industry knowledge and stay current with financial services trends. Develop a solid understanding of compliance and risk management functions within Prime Brokerage, including preparing reports and becoming familiar with relevant procedures and issues. Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives alongside experienced team members.Requirements:Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree/ Diploma in Business, Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or a related field, in a reputable local university A full-time commitment period of 6 months (credit-bearing internships may be considered) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Keen to develop yourself in the profession Highly meticulous, motivated, enthusiastic, confident and creative Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment and build relationships with colleagues Be service-oriented and committed to teamwork and excellence Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Familiarity with Bloomberg, Power BI or basic programming (Python, VBA) is a strong plus but not requiredPlease indicate your availability for the internship in the following format: Available from [ddmmyyyy] to [ddmmyyyy].We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
