IntroductionWe are looking for a first-of-a-kind Client Manager in Australia to join our Commercial team to drive growth in our strategic engagements.nPlan uses advanced AI to challenge the traditional methods of project planning and execution in major construction projects. If you have managed construction projects, really want to change the game in the delivery of projects and want to work for the world leader of AI in project controls, this could well be for you.Amazingly, to us, not everyone in the major projects arena wakes up each morning thinking about how they can make the best use of nPlan in their projects. Whether it is explaining why they should deprecate the legacy QSRA approach in favour of nPlan or rewire their approach to portfolio reporting, it is your job to disrupt the industry one customer at a time.About The RoleHaving recently secured $16M in Series B funding from major investors including Chevron, Google Ventures and Suffolk Technologies, nPlan is on the up, in a big way.We are on a mission to change how construction projects are planned, managed and executed. Using the world’s largest dataset of completed projects schedules (over 750,000 and counting), nPlan can harness advanced AI to forecast delay risk, spot opportunities to help teams deliver faster, cheaper projects. Being pioneering, leveraging artificial intelligence, and disrupting tradition requires an element of client hand-holding to ensure they achieve the value demonstrated by nPlan’s existing customer base. But we are a technology business, not a project controls consultancy, and so we need to nurture our brand and protect our business model accordingly.With a number of key clients with projects in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, including Singapore’s Land Transit Authority, Hong Kong’s Mass Transit Railway, Chevron, and the Level Crossing Removal Programme, we want to make sure that we are streamlined in engaging their project delivery organisations and getting the best from nPlan. You will use your expertise in the construction industry, coming from a project controls, project delivery or construction management background, to help our clients maximise the value they get from nPlan. Your main responsibility will be to make sure that we efficiently delight these customers and others in the region.While the role is remote, you may be required to travel within the APAC region (possibly 3-5 times a year) and internationally for client or team meetings (once or twice a year).Key responsibilitiesThis role exists to ensure we deliver the value to our customers that drives them to renew and expand their use of nPlan.Value:Develop a deep understanding of the explicit (and implicit) needs of each customer and ensure that we outperform expectationsUnderstand our products today and plans for the future to help integrate them into customer processes and promote them at every opportunityTake ownership of determining the value gained by the customer during the engagement and establish the best way to communicate that to those customer stakeholders who need to hear it.CommercialFind areas in which we can expand and improve our offering to the customerCoordinate within each account team so that we efficiently deliver against our objectives and optimise the time spent across customersClient engagement and support:Building the strategy and engagement plans to delight our strategic customers.Develop and ensure a smooth, efficient, and friction-free journey for clients from onboarding to ongoing supportEmpower customers to self-serve using nPlanBuild and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the client organisation, understanding their needs and pain points across a range of engagementsAbout YouBackground in project management, project controls or construction management (or a similar role in Construction Technology) to ensure that you are organised, credible with construction teams and understand project schedules to be able to communicate them to non-planning audiences.Extremely confident in all channels of communication —most importantly, verbal communication. You need to be proactive and unafraid to pick up the phone.Excellent relationship-building skills and a passion for delighting customersExcellent organisational skills as diligence, and responsiveness are key to good client engagementsYou have an eye for detail.
