This individual reports directly to the Head of Client Strategy and works closely with senior team members across client strategy, investment strategy, research, operations, and risk. Their focus is on investor relations, fundraising, and consultant engagement. Over time, this individual will assume greater responsibility, leading meetings with institutional allocators and contributing directly to the firm’s long-term success. The role provides a pathway to develop trusted relationships with sophisticated investors – relationships that are central to One River’s mission and enduring value proposition. It is ideal for someone early in their alternatives career who combines investment fluency, strong communication skills, and exceptional attention to detail.Core ResponsibilitiesSupport senior team members in all aspects of fundraising, consultant relations, and client service.Assist in the preparation and delivery of materials such as presentations, DDQs, RFPs, and customized requests.Maintain CRM databases, track pipelines, and produce internal analytics on prospective investors and consultants.Coordinate monthly performance distributions and mass investor communications.Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support fundraising strategy.Collaborate with investment, risk, and operations teams to ensure alignment of messaging and data.Qualifications2–5 years of experience in investor relations, capital formation, investment consulting, or a related analytical function (banking, asset management, or alternatives).Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate financial data, market trends, and investment strategies.Strong understanding of institutional investors, investment vehicles, and performance metrics.Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate insights and create impactful materials for stakeholders.Familiarity with CRM tools such as Dynamo.Highly organized, deadline-driven, and intellectually curious.
