You will take a trauma-informed approach and provide respectful, person-centred care, tailored to individual’s needs. Central to your role will be employing an individualised, holistic approach to care, incorporating comprehensive care planning to address the diverse physical, emotional, and social aspects of each person’s journey.You’ll provide specialist psychological assessment, treatment, and therapy for clients presenting with substance use concerns and co-occurring mental health issues. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll play a key role in delivering and developing evidence-based programs that make a real difference.Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and treatment plansDeliver individual and group therapy, including DBT and other programsDevelop and evaluate evidence-based clinical programsProvide education, supervision, and consultation to students and colleaguesContribute to research, service improvement, and quality assurance initiativesA psychologist position in the alcohol and other drugs sector offers a challenging and rewarding specialisation.
