CLINICAL EDUCATORYour Responsibilities Will IncludeCoordinating the Early Graduate Training Program - meetings, facilitation, and report writingCoordination of Clinical PlacementsCoordination of the Professional Development Program for clinical staffCoordinating acute and residential care training informed by:Routine position reviewsContemporary practice needsChanging policiesClinical practice guidelinesAged care standardsMonitoring and evaluating programs and resources for effectiveness and leading practiceImplementing and evaluating clinical education programs and in-services for nursesInitiating, participating in, and contributing to nurses' clinical knowledge and skills developmentIdentifying individual nurses' learning needs in consultation with the NUM to support developmentConducting nurses' clinical assessments and competency certificationParticipating in formal and informal nurse education deliveryPromoting nurses' professional development and educationFostering utilization of nursing researchThe in-service training program will be informed by an Annual Training Needs Analysis. Other duties include:Developing an annual Training Calendar and monitoring complianceProviding clinical support and mentorship to graduate nurses on rotationDeveloping policies and procedures in consultation with leadershipCoordinating the No Lift program - injury prevention, training, competency assessments, policiesFacilitating and coordinating student clinical placementsFacilitating and coordinating Mandatory Training and OrientationsEssentialHold current Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Professionals Registration Authority with post graduate qualifications/certificates relevant to the position TAE 40110Demonstrated understanding, knowledge and commitment to a high standard of nursing careDemonstrated competence in clinical teaching and learning in the health care environment with a particular interest and passion for e-learningDemonstrated effective communication & interpersonal skills with problem solving ability, particularly in supporting a diverse group of people to meet their professional development responsibilitiesDemonstrated commitment to professional development with proven high- level leadership, clinical skills and knowledge.Significant experience in acute and aged care nursing and a sound knowledge of current aged care standards and the Public Sector Aged Residential Care Quality Indicators and NSQHS.Demonstrated understanding of how to access, lead, implement and evaluate evidence based/evidence informed and leading practice for nursing and personal care staff.Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and practice in nursing How to Apply: Ready to take the next step in your career?Please follow the links to apply via LiveHire or for a further information please email: CHHumanresources@corryonghealth.org.auJoin us at Corryong Health and be a part of a community where your expertise is valued, and your professional growth is supported.
